Short, high-energy laser pulses hit the colour particles in the tissue and break them into smaller fragments, which the body then removes. Because this takes time, several weeks lie between sessions.

Different tattoo colours respond to different wavelengths. With multi-coloured motifs the decisive question is therefore which wavelengths a system provides — see the technical data of the respective system.

Picosecond or nanosecond technology

Shorter pulse durations break pigment down more finely. Whether picosecond technology is necessary for your offer depends on the motifs you actually treat. Our comparison article contrasts both approaches without blanket promises of success.
